But that's gay marriage, not other LGBT rights. Marriage is very "normal" and so it is exactly the type of thing that the Xavier method works well for. Start talking about more complicated issues like homelessness in the LGBT community or the prejudice built into our systems and the Xavier method doesn't work particularly well anymore.

76% of Americans support non-discrimination protections for LGBT people.

People don't care about homelessness for anyone. They don't care about it when it's cis white men, the most privileged demographic there is. The fact that they also don't care about it when it's LGBT people doesn't say anything about their attitudes toward LGBT people.
