Deaged characters. Found family. Asshole characters who are secretly soft (especially towards their loved ones).

I really love the character dynamic of a main villain and a secondary villain working under them, especially if they're both scheming against each other but drawn to each other despite themselves, I'm not sure how to be more specific. It can be a business mentor relationship, a mad scientist and assistant, an evil queen and her favorite knight... the possibilities are endless, and it's more about the character interaction than needing to be in certain roles. They can be antihero protagonists too, villain just gets across the general idea. When I come across it I almost always ship them hard. In situations where I don't ship the characters for whatever reasons I find this type of dynamic fascinating on a platonic level as well.

Yes! Oh man, yes. I love it when there is both a main villain and then a secondary villain who is also talented and good at their job. And they work really well together.

I will usually ship them.

I seem to have a fondness for reformed bad guys. Especially if they are genuinely horrified by their own actions and they do what they can to turn around and even become protective papa bear/mama bear when it comes to their loved ones.

Cinderella anything.

Homoerotic swordfighting, if that counts as one.

I remember this one secret way back in prehistoric times that was a screenshot of two guys with swords crossed and the secret was something like "I stopped watching after this because I was worried the rest wouldn't be as gay" and the comments were all like "nonny, this is where the gay begins", and I was a baby F!S lurker too shy to leave a comment asking what it was, so every so often I remember that and wonder if I've found it yet. The image is really vague in my memory so it's possible it's something I've seen since then and didn't notice.

gods yes, give me all the sexy dueling. Homo, het, I don't care, I just want to see clothes get torn (and in some cases, torn off) while the participants are grunting and moaning.

- Villains severely underestimating the hero, who is secretly incredibly strong/smart/overpowered/ what have you (why yes I did like DBZ as a child)

- Exes reuniting after being separated for several years (whether it's Persuasion or The Parent Trap, I love it)

I'm a sucker for characters suffering in silence and hiding it - especially if their suffering is self-sacrificing in nature - and it getting revealed after people keep taking them for granted/have been unfair to them in the past. Two examples are the golden core reveal in MDZS and everything Chu Wanning has going on in 2ha.
