I love those tags that say "Character X is their own warning." It's three warnings rolled into one - Character X is in this; I understood Character X's manifold issues in the source material; I wrote Character X in-character. I've read way too many fic that fail on one or more of those.

I hate it so much when villains are flattened in fics and their villainy ignored. Then again, I love villains and a lot of the fun of a complex villain is they have layers but are still evil. Get rid of that and it is no longer the same character.

So I love that tag both because it is fun and because it tends to mean the fic is going to be in character.
