Um okay then. But you know that for some sexual people sex isn't a big deal, right? And you know for some asexual people sex isn't a big deal and they partake if their partner is into it, right? Like ace/non-ace relationships are a very real real-life thing.

But I do get being annoyed by something that irks you popping up seemingly everywhere.

I get that but I'm not sure why anybody who's not asexual would be interested in sexual activity in fic where one of the people doesn't care for it or doesn't feel attraction.

And that's okay, but it sure doesn't appeal to me.

I mean I read all sorts of fic about things that hold no interest in reality for me. I also read a whole bunch of fic about characters that have nothing in common with me. In fact a lot of the time I read fic because it makes me go "huh. But how/why..."

So I can imagine a sexual person reading an ace relationship fic. I can also imagine its nor for everyone and thats fine. Idk if there is a trope that is for everyone.

I find the idea kinda hot. One person reading a book or the paper, while the other just goes to town. It's like parallel play for adults.

I want to read fic with an asexual people in romantic relationships with sexual/allosexual people because that would be my (unlikely) ideal. Not sexual but maybe some kinks, all the kissing and some groping, just not penetrative/oral. I don't read much of that for any pairing. It's about the relationship not the screwing. But the & is for "just" friends and the & is for romantic relationships and sexual relationships and I want the romance not the sex.
