Really, chihuahuas are the ones that will bite you, because bad owners handle them in ways they don’t like, and they learn that biting is the only way to get humans to leave them alone.

(Anonymous) 2023-12-14 07:23 am (UTC)(link)It means every dog at our local rescues is a pit. I remember when I was a kid and you could go to the shelter and get any size or random mix of dog, but they're literally all pit bulls.
And then people get mad at you for getting a small pedigreed dog from a breeder. Sorry, I don't want a dog that can tear my head off easily if they snap (sometimes not their fault; brain tumor or whatever.) I want a small, manageable pet and I'm willing to pay. I would RATHER get a shelter dog, but I don't want one of those.
