I figured the breed everyone arbitrarily declared evil was pit bulls.

Really, chihuahuas are the ones that will bite you, because bad owners handle them in ways they don’t like, and they learn that biting is the only way to get humans to leave them alone.

I agree! Chihuahuas are very bitey dogs. My other ‘do not want’ breed are dachshunds. My poor GSD is terrified of dachshunds.

Pitbulls haven't been the demon dogs for twenty years now, we've moved onto stigmatizing XL Bullies instead of blaming bad owners for aggression training their dogs to shore up fragile egos.

I don't really hate any dog, but I wish people would quit breeding pits. Their jaw strength...and the dipshits who want "tough" dogs.

It means every dog at our local rescues is a pit. I remember when I was a kid and you could go to the shelter and get any size or random mix of dog, but they're literally all pit bulls.

And then people get mad at you for getting a small pedigreed dog from a breeder. Sorry, I don't want a dog that can tear my head off easily if they snap (sometimes not their fault; brain tumor or whatever.) I want a small, manageable pet and I'm willing to pay. I would RATHER get a shelter dog, but I don't want one of those.

TBF Bully breeders can get seriously weird. There’s a crowd that wants the toughest-looking dog they can get, and doesn’t care about the resulting health issues.

I've known pits that were total sweeties who just wanted to play all day. The problem is there are people who abuse pits to make them mean. I'm not even going to say what they do to them, you'd lose your lunch.

Agreed, Chihuahuas are the little satan beasts, and not even just the biters, I swear. There's some that just look at you with murder in their eyes for NO REASON. My aunt had one like that once.
