SO MANY kinkfic and prompts on kinkmemes have zero to do with sex and I find it baffling. Like, cool prompt bro but this is a kink meme. Go find a cuddle meme or a turn into blueberries meme.

(I mean I also love nonsexual kink occasionally so its not an all or nothing, I'm just saying kink in fandom is weird these days.)

Is this really common in your fandom or something? I've definitely seen plenty of very out there fetish fanfics where there's no actual sex, but in all my past fandoms I would say the sex fic outnumbered these by far. I don't think I've ever been in a fandom where I was struggling to find porny fic in a sea of fetish-focused fic.

My kink sometimes has sex, sometimes doesn't. Every author puts some variation of 'don't like, don't read' in the summary. That's pretty standard etiquette in niche kinks.

My question is, why on earth are you reading these fics that are not aimed at you then complaining that they are not aimed at you? Like, the author did their job tagging and warning. You need to do your job too, and go read porn that you actually like.
