Oh my goodness I absolutely adore that!!! That construction is so clever, too xx

I’m starting on a 1500 piece puzzle. I think I did a 1000 piece once about 20-25 years ago so I’m super nervous. But it’s gorgeous so I’m also excited! My advent calendar this year is a puzzle and it’s been fun, but each day is only 42 pieces. I kinda feel like I just entered a marathon without learning how to walk…

Thanks!

I love doing puzzles but I hate how my back feels from bending over so long over them. Pacing yourself seems like a good solution!

I stopped doing puzzles because I don't have the space for it to just be lying about unfinished but I recently saw an ad for a movable puzzle board, complete with little sorting trays and a dust cover that you can just push under the bed or something if you want to continue it another day and I'm seriously tempted to get one.

AYRT I ordered one on day three of working on the advent puzzle. It’s this one:
Jumbl 1500-Piece Puzzle Board w/Cover | 27” x 35” Jigsaw Puzzle Table w/ 6 Removable Storage & Sorting Drawers | Smooth Plateau Fiberboard Work Surface & Reinforced Hardwood | for Games & Puzzles https://a.co/d/6xb4JJV

I went with one of the cheapest of the really big ones and I’m quite happy with it! It did come with a crack on the building surface but I’m very handy and will cover it with a piece of 5mm underlayment. The cover is like a neoprene mouse pad, it’s nice and heavy but not too heavy to move. Pet hair brushes off it easily, which is a nice bonus since all of my pets have at least some white hair they sprinkle around the house.
It doesn’t have a turntable with it but for me that was a bonus because I don’t like the ones that are screwed into the board. I have a freestanding one already that I can set the puzzle board on if I want but I have the freedom to not use it, too.
I also like that this is a smooth puzzling surface; the advent puzzle came with a felt mat and the pieces constantly got caught on it when I was trying to put them together or slide things around. It’s why I wanted a puzzle board. We’ve also used it for board games with the puzzle cover over the puzzle :)
