My current fandom is very fond of dual genitalia for omegas, but I still managed to be caught off-guard while reading a fic in which a character who'd always assumed he was a beta turned out to be a very late-blooming omega, and as a middle-aged man he suddenly grew a vagina.

1) In my previous reading experiences, dual genitalia omegaverse fic had the characters' designation presenting at birth rather than adolescence (or much, much later, as in this fic).

2) The fic was weirdly uninterested in examining the character's emotional, mental, and physical reactions to this change. I mean, if I suddenly grew a new orifice, it would be a pretty big deal for me! But in this fic the character it happened to found the change completely unremarkable.
