^An examination of the timelines in the books and how in many ways it actually doesn't make sense for Anne's kids to be in WWI.
(I agree about the later books, btw. I usually stop at Anne of the Island or Anne's House of Dreams at the latest. My mom adores Rainbow Valley but at that point I'm over it. I care about Anne, not her kids.)

(Anonymous) 2023-12-18 03:12 am (UTC)(link)Yeah, I don't like the later books when the focus shifts to Anne's children as the main characters. It's just... a bit too precious, occasionally repetitive and there are TOO MANY DAMN KIDS to be interesting or have individual personalities. Also, WWI is depressing.
