I have had a bad day due to yet another surprise reaction to food. Basically a waste of a day spent laying in bed in pain. I am pouty about the whole situation.

Tell me about your day! Hopefully it was better than mine.

Lost my bond case this morning. I threw everything at it, but the judge was in a bad mood. Frustrated.

Also, my jaw really hurts and also have a bad headache.

Finally, annoyed at my office. I asked permission to leave 2 hours early on Friday because we're driving to Oklahoma. Was told no. I worked 4 extra hours on Tuesday when we were closed. But no, the person currently in charge of HR is a hard ass and isn't letting anyone take any extra time for the next couple weeks.

Edit: Also, the flowers I ordered to be delivered on January 3, my mother's birthday were delivered today. 2 days before we go away for New Years. Really annoyed. I specifically scheduled them for her birthday and after we get back.

not great. I was going to go out for dinner at a restaurant I really like and haven't been to in a long tome but that had to get postponed because a. it's raining like piss and I don't have a car, b. my legs hurt too much (I've had arthritis for years) and c. I just got notified earlier this afternoon that a phone bill I thought I paid over three weeks ago got lost in the mail so I had to deal with a bank lady who wasn't listening so I had to repeat myself three times and a phone company guy who made me jump through a lot of electronic hoops just so I can pay a double phone bill next time it comes in.

Not terrible but I'm pissed off that not only did the license agency move even further away from me, but it was closed today. I'm so sick of them being unavailable during all the days I have scheduled off. This is the shit I was trying to get done in November PRECISELY BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT TO BE STRESSING ABOUT IT NOW. Now I either have to take time off work when it's skeleton crew time or just hope nobody notices my plate's expired until I can get it taken care of.

I also have the Christmas holiday version of the Sunday scaries since I have to go back to work tomorrow.

Oof that sounds awful, nonnie :( I’m the allergy anon from a few weeks ago and I can literally feel your pain. I was lucky to make it through the holiday season without any exposures, which is major! I even made dozens and dozens of cookies, most containing allergens, without any problems. I’m allergic to food coloring gel so I gloved up for that recipe. It did mean a bit more mess and my favorite tea towel has some red blotches because I couldn’t feel that I’d brushed against it with the glove, but I still call it a win.

I just wish I weren’t so grumpy this evening. We have one bad neighbor and their dogs have been outside literally howling nonstop for almost five hours. I hate the family and wish they’d move. (The dogs are the least of the problem but they are a problem, and the police department has a two inch thick folder stuffed with photos of the attack victims, including my dog, that prove it)

I feel like now would be a bad time to mention that my day has gone reasonably well. I only had to work half a day and actually got through a fair number of emails. I also found a few cheap Christmas candies on sales and have been able to sit down on work on my photography sorting backlog.
