I enjoy the Tom Bombadil section of Lord of the Rings, but I hate Scouring of the Shire. And that is a secret I can never confess in Tolkien-spaces.

I hate it too. So damn glad they left it out of the movies. I know the political point Tolkien was trying to make with it and it's a valid point but I still hate it.

I enjoy both parts, but I also think leaving them out of the movies was the right decision. And I get why other people wouldn't like either of those parts.
