Saw a fanfic writer basically decry writing about a dark topic as a whole "disgusting" and it just fired up something in me. So here's a secret:

I'm so sick of people stating their feelings about things like moral absolutes. "you can't write about this, it's gross" "you wrote about this, that's disgusting what's wrong with you" Like it's one thing to say it's gross to write something condoning something but if you just say "writing about this topic is gross and makes you bad" it's just so narrowminded and feels like a slap in the face to people writing about it to process stuff.

The people who do this may think they're making some moral statement but really they're hurting people. Telling already insecure and hurting people they're wrong or gross or disgusting. So I hope people reading this secret think about that. Think about what you're saying and who might see it.
