I haven't been into Britpop for a very long time because it was so hostile! You were supposed to pick sides and deride other bands/performers. Sad to see it hasn't changed.

Sadly it's not contained to Britpop either. From what I've heard Kpop fandom is full of that sort of crap, and it's spilling over into other, non-music related fandoms now too.
