He is too old and muscular to be a twink, but he could be a hunk.

You play her and romance everyone else.

I don't know anything about bookbinding, but I hope you'll be able to make your dream come true one day, OP!

I used to go to the library every two weeks, but now it's about once a month unless I can't renew my books or I feel super stressed out and need quiet. I love my town's library and I've been going there since I was five, so it feels like a second home to me. I have two library cards because my town's Libby selection isn't that great.

I have a library card and the libby app. I get ebooks and audiobooks from my library system pretty regularly, but I only go to the library IRL a few times a year - usually when I've found a book rec they only have in paper. There was a long dry spell before I got back to the library, though.

I’m not sure what you mean by typesets, everyone I know just uses a laser printer. Then it’s just a matter of choosing fonts from like da font or other free sites, then printing and binding.
I recommend that if you dive in, practice binding using regular printer paper first. The all in one kits on Amazon are a good way to get started, just pick one that has over 4.5 stars.

Replaying Spyro the Dragon and it could be argued Spyro is at least not as 'good' as the story presents when factoring in the whole wealth hoarding and genocide elements. Also fuck the rest of the dragons for not helping a literal child wage war against an invading tyrant. They just fly away after getting rescued, Spyro and his weird little bug friend be damned.

I think it's funny you think being a wooden or unimpressive actor is a significant impediment in Hollywood.

I don't go to a physical library because it's kind of a PITA to get there but I use their online services all the time. Libby is amazing and it's where I get all my audio books (2-5 each week), I get maybe 3 movies a month off Kanopy, Hooplah is where I get all my comics (legitimately).

I try to get everyone in my life to use Libby. If you've got Audible please just check Libby first! That's all I ask!!!!!

Do you mean the font choices, or the page layout? When I make books I usually just do basic layouts in Word. I did eventually buy a font I really liked the look of, but there are some beautiful free fonts out there-- I'm partial to Alegreya for book text.

Dumbledore comes to mind.

There are some versions of Batman that sometimes seem like a deeply troubled man acting out violent revenge fantasies while an apathetic justice system either turns a blind eye or abets him.

Scott McCall. I don't think he's a villain or anything. But he is not the hero he thinks he is, nor is he the hero the narrative tells the audience he is (even while showing how much of a hero he is not). I believe that Scott is trying to do what he thinks is best a lot of the time, but a lot of the decisions he makes are questionable, at best. And some are actually quite harmful.

I do, but I haven't been for ages. Thanks for spurring me on to go, actually!

We read a lot, but use Kindle and free sources online more often. And of course I read a ton of fanfic and write it.

Pretty much a lot of things that a librarian would do: shelving books, scanning books in & out for people to borrow or to send to other libraries within the borough, searching for requested books and helping people who use different services at the library (like help with the public computers).

I can't speak for all volunteer libraries, but at my one they take into account volunteer's preferences - like if you don't feel comfortable with being at the front desk you can just focus on the shelving/retrieving books.

I've had the Mario Brother's theme tune stuck in my head today.

This.
I didn't like TF&TWS but they were teasing each other and having a bit of fun. In what world is it cruel?

(Anonymous) 2024-01-03 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yes you can commission typeset. I mean a lot of designers can do it, it's a job.

Re: Libraries

(Anonymous) 2024-01-03 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yes I do occasionally. But I l've almost stopped reading books some time ago and even going through my really vast collection of bought books is taking so much time.
But I go for a peace and quiet and different programs they do (concerts, clubs etc).
People around me sneer at libraries and it makes me sad.

She does have a sexy kind of voice...and I don't listen to her much, but I'm rooting for her, because MAN did she get a lot of crap early on.

Dunno why this is a secret, though; you do you, OP, and like what you like!

ALL OF THIS.
Another reason to thank the gods for fandom and fanfic, because 'Hollywood' just doesn't have a fucking clue, sometimes. Apologize, my ass.

Yup, and yup.
It's hard to get some stuff from my library; they have interloan service with other libraries around the state, but the selection isn't always great.
But I get as much from the library as i can, 'cause I can't afford *not* to.

Agree with all these.

(Anonymous) 2024-01-03 06:53 am (UTC)(link)
I disagree. It bothered me that Sam was making jokes about things that he knew were sore points for Bucky (like his past as the Winter Soldier), and the joking generally only went one way. Bucky didn't seem to be all that into it to me. It reminded me a lot of Tony's jabs at Steve; some people found that shippy, but others found it offputting.

(Anonymous) 2024-01-03 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
What might look like a "bit of fun" to some might indeed come across as cruel to others. The joking worked for you; that doesn't mean it worked for everyone.
