Reminds me of a show where one character apologized to one of the main characters for treating them badly and their relationship improved in the following episodes. Meanwhile their relationship was also shown to have improved with a couple minor characters who they had treated badly, but some fans of those minor characters were upset that THEY hadn't been apologized to, so how dare the character act like they were friends?! How dare canon just ignore the way they were treated?! Why does the creator HATE those characters so much?!

My dudes obviously this character apologized to the minor characters too, the changed relationship was meant to show that, these characters would not be acting nicer toward the person who mistreated them unless they had gotten some proper closure. That is your clue that it happened, it just happened OFFSCREEN because canon can't show everything that happens to every character, especially minor ones. Have an ounce of media literacy I swear.
