I don't read comics. But I thought that Scarlett Witch was a top tier superhero with more power than most.

Doesn't excuse the way Reed went out like a chump though. That wasn't even a redshirt level death. A horrible introduction to a hero who is also supposed to be one of the universe's most capable. I'd say the same about Black Bolt, but nobody gives a crap about the inhumans anyway, they are not going to be an ongoing part of the MCU going forward.

At least Xavier went out with compassion and empathy, more Obi Wan-esque than anything else. He was trying to help Wanda, not hurt her.

When did Xavier die? I'm so confused....

At the end of Act Two.

....and that tells me nothing. Oh well.

Multiverse of Madness, he died trying to reach the part of Wanda's mind that wasn't crazed by addled magic. It was buried under a mental image of a Stark Bomb, meaning even after he was dead, Tony Stark was still responsible for everything bad that happened to the MCU.

Huh. I guess I didn't see that one...? I just don't remember. There are so many and the X-men movies in particular got so weird....

Ah, yeah, the good "Blame old Tony game".

It's all a matter of how much power they want to give her. Dazzler is theoretically one of the top-tier powerful Marvel characters, but she's usually a chump because people just think "disco powers." One of the comic book matchup sites has a "Spider-Man vs. Firelord" rule, named for the time a hero you've heard of beat a villain who can normally survive getting punched through planets and out the other side. The only rule is that Squirrel Girl wins.

On any given day, full-power Wanda is basically the one of the top 5 most powerful mutants in the comics-verse. She’s way out of the X-Men’s league.

That's what I thought, which is why this secret seems weird to me.
