It's certainly a plus, if nothing else. I came of age during the "never tell online people anything personal!!" era, so I dislike when I know things like real names or faces and the like.

I used to follow a great aviation based channel, which just about analysing flights, but then the host got the idea to start prancing around on screen herself all the time and it became unwatchable within a few vids. Nobody was watching the channel for her antics, or if they were then they were not there for the planes anymore. The things people do for the views, I guess.

I'm glad this guy has resisted.
