I feel this way any time character bashing takes over a ship. Even when it is a character I dislike. I just really hate character bashing.

Nothing makes me want to defend a character I actually dislike harder is other people bashing said character... *especially* when they're fans of my favorite. Don't embarrass me and our fav like that!

Same. Mind, there's very few characters in any of my fandoms that I could say I outright disliked, but even then, the few I do, it's more in a "love to hate them" sort of way, because the actor does such a good job of making them so awful yet interesting.

But even so, yeah, it's fine to dislike a character or not vibe with them or whatever, but full on character bashing just never appealed to me.
