Disagree. Intentions>actions>words. Intentions inform both word and deed. See: "He a little confused but he got the spirit."

Also, Steve can be stupid AND have good intentions.

I disagree that Steve was being stupid.

Steve can sometimes be stupid, but his heart is in the right place. My statement was mostly to point out that the two don't conflict. You can be a kind, moral, genuine person and be stupid. Bucky would agree.

Most evil people think they're justified in their actions and have good intentions. To steal to feed their family is good. To kill people of different faith because Church says it's good. Etc, etc.
I agree with anon that says that thinking like this shows unclear conscience. Looking at you >.>

To steal to feed your family IS good. Very few people actually thought killing people of another faith was for good intentions. They either wanted that sweet sweet free pass into heaven (selfish) or the promise of land and spoils from their conquest (selfish), or both (selfish selfish).

Most evil people think they're justified and have good intentions because they only see themselves and their loved ones and peers as actual people. Otherwise they would see how their actions harm everyone else and they would stop. They think it's fine intentions when everyone else are just NPCs and don't actually matter. That's how you get people absolutely stupefied when facing consequences.

Steve does not do this.
