Yeah I'm a little confused. Maybe OP means like all the individual stories were a mess?

They are and they aren't at the same time. It's different universes/stories but both S1 and S2 have ended with a culmination of an overall arc (that hasn't been the main focus but has been there in the background for nearly the entire run) and almost everyone teaming up in some way.

In S1 it was to defeat Ultron and in S2 I don't want to say as it's a huge spoiler but Captain Carter was definitely the thread throughout the entire season.

DA but huh that kind of makes me want to check it out. I had no idea, I really thought they were all just one shots.

I get what the secret is saying because the finales are NOT the strongest points but overall I had fun. The quality is certainly varied meaning that some of the stories are much stronger than others.

Also I'm not a fan of the animation (it looks really uncanny valley at times with how much they've tried to make the characters look like their original actors and yet somehow missing with a few of them) but the voice cast having many of the MCU counterparts back is quite nice, it's cool getting to hear them play with concepts they'd never get to do in the films.

Then you get things like it's quite poignant that S1 contains one of Chadwick's last performances. It's a good episode though.

The first few are relatively unrelated, but then they introduce the weird glowy thing and it all becomes inter related. There was a lot wrong in the back half of the season, especially S2. An episode entirely in subtitles was just the start of it.
