I don’t like that stuff, because who are you to tell me what I’m drawn to? Like Danganronpa’s thing where it thinks you’re playing to see teenagers sexualized and/or murdered, and it alternates between mocking you for it and “giving you what you want,” and meanwhile I just wanted to play something like Ace Attorney.

Then Cronenberg's films are probably not ones you're going to want to get into. I mean, I've only watched three, because while they are thought-provoking and artful, I do get the feeling that they are, in some part, meant as a rebuke, which I can't say I'm wild about myself. There are other directors that I feel are like that too, at least for some of their films, like Darren Aronofsky, Oliver Stone, and Gus Van Sant. I really dislike it when I get the feeling that any director is disdainful of their audience for enjoying their films.
