It's been interesting to observe how, the original AtlA fandom was largely into zutara, but the new fandom that sprung from the cartoon moving to netflix is pretty much dead set on zukka. It's made me wonder, if Harry Potter came out recently (and we didn't yet know about JKR being awful) would the main ship war still be Harry/Hermione vs Ron/Hermione, or something different? Harry/Draco vs Harry/Ron? Ron/Hermione vs Ginny/Hermione? Some other pairing an old fan wouldn't maybe think of?
