Oh please. You are obviously not a musician. I have played in bars. I have played in crappy venues. And my song writing and performing improved massively as a result. It's not about suffering for chrissake. It's about practice and feedback.

Lemme guess, you're clearly one of those super good misunderstood indie artises right? The rare one with the really ~good~ music. Which is an objective thing and not, ya know, matter of taste lol.

No? Not at all. I've been lots of different bands, sometimes at the same time. None of them super good, but they were certainly fun and interesting. We were doing it for the joy of playing out, although we also put out CDs so people could have our music. I'm not sure what you're reaching for here.

I've made a simple point that playing out improves your music and musicianship, and sorry if you can't agree.
