Ah man. Love the whole Soft White Damn series.

The Summer series is awful and has made me dislike other Marcus Damanda stories.

I think my issue with Soft White Damn was that the "twist" was a bit forced imo and I was a bit over the whole "Protag was the real bad guy all the time" thing at the time I listened to it.
The Summer series also made me dislike the voice actresse's voice. I was always perfectly okay with her but the way she kept droning on (vocal fry and all) and on through that slog of a story made me skip stories narrated by her for a while.
I think I actually never finished listening to the series, now that I think about it.

Yeah, Jessica McEvoy can be really samey. Her best performance is in The Whistlers. That voice really fits that.
