Well, yeah, Will is definitely canonically in love with Mike. Byler Truthers think canon shows that it's been reciprocated all along, though, and that Mike isn't actually interested in El.

...which is certainly not unusual behavior from shippers.

It'll be interesting to see what happens at the end of the series. I'm sure there will be accusations of homophobia on the part of the Duffer brothers.
