This is a preposterous characterization of the TOS movies at the very least, if not of the TV series

TMP Enterprise is refitted, but not a flagship. TWOK and TSFS, she starts as retired training ship, being at the end of her servi e life, and is scheduled for official retirement. Absent tVH, TFF absolute brokeass piece of crap, TUC she is back to being an antiquated museum piece who is at the end of her service life again.

DA Yes, because the first Enterprise *is* an old ship: the movies come after the TV series. The Excelsior is the flagship then. The Enterprise-D then became the flagship in the next and most popular series, so I would say that's where the flagship thing comes from and I don't really see anything wrong with that?

You cannot seriously look at the TOS movies and tell me that the Enterprise in them is "just another run of the mill starship" and the movies are just a day in the life.

That's *insane*.

Whether or not the Enterprise is the flagship, it's definitely not just one random ship among many.

You're right. I wasn't saying that. I was saying that in the Series she was just one Constitution Class among many, plying the frontier. In the Original Series Movies, most of them, she was a junker.

That is two different things at two different times. Ya gotta learn to read, or your arguments will look more like a strawman than anything else. Ya get it? Yeah, you get it.
