I didn't come across the fic itself, but I've heard tell of a fic where wax was used.

Someone else posited that if the person had an increased body temp it wouldn't be too awful, and then had the mental image of a demon/other fantasy creature with a large crayon inserted rectally. They then left to cleanse their brain with some nice genfic.
