Eh I'm on either side on this one. I am definitely guilty of hating pieces of media, but I haven't gone out my way to let everyone in the fandom space know about it since I was a preteen creating silly anti-character shrines on Angelfire.
Like, I think it can be cathartic to dislike something and express it, just as long as you know its not that serious and can be more of a dumb fun thing like memeing it or something.

Where I agree is when people take it too far or act like liking a fictional media has to be a reflection on your morals or is actually super serious instead of just minding your own business like a normal person.
