Currently reading an old school fantasy book I found at a second hand store - Shackle and Sword. The story is good but my god the main character is just not likeable. I keep expecting him to grow and change but I've only got about 1/4 of the book left and he's just gotten worse. But I guess that speaks to good storytelling if I'm still into the book despite that?

Next up is A Little Princess. I've never read it and it was in a free little library in the neighborhood so I figured what the hell.

I have very fond childhood memories of reading A Little Princess with my mother before bedtime. There is a section of that book that, like, permanently imprinted on my psyche.
