What're you reading?
(Anonymous) 2024-02-17 12:41 am (UTC)(link)I am supposed to be reading Remarkably Bright Creatures for a bookclub but I was not loving that so I'm kind of ignoring it.

(Anonymous) 2024-02-17 01:06 am (UTC)(link)I just finished T. Kingfisher’s The Twisted Ones and so far haven’t found my next read. I guess it’s time to get B&B (:

Re: What're you reading?
(Anonymous) 2024-02-17 01:42 am (UTC)(link)I got the impression I’d prefer The Hollow Places but also that there are a lot of similarities between the two (THP generally being considered a more polished spin/remix of TTO). I’ve decided it’s going to be my next TK read but that I need to read something else so I’m not unfavorably comparing her works. I bet if I’d read something in between AHWGB and TTO I would have enjoyed TTO better. It was her first horror novel and she has really grown as a horror writer since then if AHWGB is anything to go by.
