New Media

What things have you gotten into recently?

Just started watching the Brentwood Mysteries with my mother. I usually find British crime shows too slow-moving, but I'm really enjoying this.

Just started playing Detroit: Become Human. I'm really enjoying it - and I kinda want a tv series of it.

I'll have to look up the Brentwood Mysteries bc I do love myself a good British crime show. Last ones I watched were Shetland and Broadchurch.

I haven't really gotten into anything new lately but I did recently watch Troy: Fall of a City on Netflix. I haven't read the Iliad so I don't know if much of it was accurate or not, but the gore and sexy times was interesting.

Sorry, I had the name wrong. It is Brokenwood Mysteries.

Do you mean Brokenwood Mysteries? I like that series, too. Definitely on the lighter side of murder mysteries, which is nice.

My Happy Marriage. It’s so good!

I'm really enjoying the Sherlock & Co podcast. It's kind of like BBC Sherlock in some ways but with a lot more respect for the original stories, and it's very funny.

Watched latest True Detective. It was really fun, I am sad you can't discuss it without someone being wildly misogynistic /racist /homophobic.

Rogue Trader 40k. I'm having a blast, I'm blasting around, I'm sincerely hopeful I don't start buying minifigs. OH GOD

Brokenwood Mysteries is a lot of fun. It is a Kiwi (New Zealand) show though, not British.

I finally got around to playing Fortnite. And ended up falling in love with it even though it's a lot of rooty-tooty point-and shooty but with more building walls to protect yourself. There's just something to being able to say "I SAW LADY GAGA MURDER A NINJA TURTLE" or something to being able to be simping for the villains of the chapter and/or season.
