You do see more "misguided but likable" sexists in media than you see racists, though. And when I say likable, I mean the story either portrays them as otherwise good people who just have this one flaw that they need to work on, or they're portrayed as bad but funny. The only (intentionally) racist characters I can think of who aren't meant to be 100% disliked are from sci-fi and fantasy, and they're racist against non-humans.
