+1, if you have a disability that even allows you to work an average of 40 hours a week, but you don't have any control over when, it's unsurprisingly hard to get a job! Very few employers want someone who can do 20 hours this week but 60 next week with no notice. It is possible, if you already have certain kinds of jobs and a reasonable employer, to work with your employer to negotiate differently, but you have to be already hired, be tricky to replace, and have a job that can be done in a way that works for you. That eliminates an awful lot of jobs...

I still think selling fic is wrong and advertising it on AO3 is stupid and should be reported, but "just get a job" isn't the winner you think it is.
