I've definitely seen beautiful spreads that use torn kraft paper well! Like, I don't think it's the ugliest thing in the world, but I think when a couple of people do it really intentionally and well, there are going to be people who want to use it without necessarily thinking about whether it goes with the other colors/materials/overall vibe they're using/cultivating, and yeah... it's just seeing so MUCH of it that gets to me.

I do like the idea of other types of paper that could still look good torn, but I can't bear to use my own kraft paper that way after seeing it so many places it where it looks out of place-- I don't think I'd do any better with it (and there are plenty of other ways I can use what I do have).
