I shipped R/Hr through all the books, and the way they got together in DH was a huge let down. The fact that Hermione finally took the first step I was fine with, but over the fact that Ron didn't want a houseelf to DIE? That's not showing him being some great compassionate Ghandi, that shows he's a person that cares enough about creatures below him not to have them die. (Like, say, a dog. Or your cat. Or whatever.) Not that Houseelves are like that-- but I can't help but think Ron doesn't think any better of them.

:( And now I wish that Viktor/Hermione or Harry/Hermione or ANYONE ELSE/Hermione had happened instead, so that she could have someone who actually cares about her enough to let her know she was wanted.

I still want R/Hr to be the wonderful pairing I imagined it when I was younger, but I just... can't. :(

I'm hoping that the version of the kiss rumored for the DH movie is true. I like that version of events a lot more than, yeah, the forced motivation of the book.

Wow, Ron feels that way after Dobby and Kreacher do what they do? SHOCKING MUST KISS HIM NOW. Yeah, didn't work.
