What's for dinner?

(Anonymous) 2024-03-02 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I had salad, grilled chicken, and twice baked potatoes!

I first found out about Noah's antics (I don't how else to describe them) on ONTD. He was torn to shreds there. I've also seen him heavily criticized on Reddit, and a few Stranger Things message boards before mods shut down all talk about it.

He's definitely been "vilianized" by more than five people on TikTok.

I used to. I stopped when they started firing their translators in favor of AI.

(Anonymous) 2024-03-02 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I like to look inside large grandfather clocks for secret passages a la Webster. Yours is a little more charming ;)

DA the two replying to you are kind of cracking me up, because in the past few days there has been a legitimate angry asshole anon and your original reply comes nowhere near that. In fact, I'd say your original comment is pretty on topic and tame.

You.... you're not going to protest a genocide because some nazis are using it as cover to do things they were already doing? You can excuse genocide etc etc

I mean, isn't that what fandom has always been?

(Anonymous) 2024-03-02 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
If people are just casually enjoying something they don't usually join fandom for it. Fandom has always been for those hyperfixation type of loves. But I'm pretty out of it these days so maybe there's some new trend of behavior I'm not aware of.

What the fuck is this word soup of a reply?

A frozen meal that is tortilla encrusted fish over rice. They are probably my favorite time of frozen meal, so delicious. Some cut fruit for desert.

For a long time I thought it was a TV show. It was just recently I saw the game on sale and thought "they have a game based on the show?" and then my brain caught up with the facts.

I feel that way about my current obsessions! I don't want to just drop in with the topic but I would love for there to be secrets and discussions. I yearn!

Gonna be leftover Moe's (couldn't finish my salad from earlier today), plus beer.

DA

>>You can excuse genocide etc etc
lol why does it always devolve into this? at this point these accusations don't even make sense... (and please before accusing me of something, i'm pretty anti-israel, have been for years, and even went to pro-palestinan protests in my country so don't even try)

It is! It's pretty scary, too! And the space vessel you need to go through during the game is absolutely stunning. I just replayed it a little while ago and UH it's just too beautiful ;___;
they even did a remake with better graphics, but I've heard the original game from 2008 has still a better and creepier atmosphere.

(Anonymous) 2024-03-03 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
I used to, but they completely changed the graphic/class model uuuh a couple of years ago?, and I just dropped it.
I had a 400 days streak for Russian and a 200+ days for Esperanto back then. At this point I'm still continuing my studies but with more advanced resources. I basically just read shit online and try to figure out what people are saying.
I actually did the same to learn English years ago. I now speak like a terminally online redditor now. Cool!

They were already using AI in place of humans at least a year ago. I assume they kept people on as quality checks while they put the AI in place, so they didn't get around to firing them until this past Nov or Dec.

Re: Media types

(Anonymous) 2024-03-03 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there is Almost Human, which is about a detective android. So there was a tv show that was similar. It fell prey to the sci-fi on fox curse.

(Anonymous) 2024-03-03 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
You JUST said...I can't join hands with those protesting against Israel's government's actions

and then
even went to pro-palestinan protests in my country

So... which is it? Cause it seems to be you can't be pro-palestinian in any real capacity without being anti-israeli actions....

Re: Duolingo

(Anonymous) 2024-03-03 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
I did years ago but dropped it at some point and never picked it back up.

Now that I'm thinking about it I had to go look it up, and it was launched publicly in 2012, and pretty sure that's when I started using it and stopped around 2017 or so. Which I only know because that's when I took a trip to Spain and I crammed beforehand and don't recall ever going back to it after the trip.

Re: Music Tastes

(Anonymous) 2024-03-03 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
I think as a kid all I could say I liked was motown and classical, because that's what was played in the house the most. I didn't get into music late teens and early 20s. I'd say it's just expanded. Plus I'm way less self conscious about what I like. I remember being make fun of hardcore for liking ABBA or other uncool poppy bands by my grunge punk crowds, now I own it and enjoy all variety of music.

Oh I bet my brain just mushed the two together. That would definitely be on brand for me.

My main takeaway from watching Zootopia was that it would make a great kid-friendly GTA or L.A Noire-style open world video game. The artists who conceptualized that setting popped off in a way that felt hampered by a Disney movie's runtime
