I'm going home for my grandmother's 90th birthday and I've decided to treat myself and save up for first class. It will be the first time I've ever flown anything but the cheapest seats, so I'm excited.

There aren't any direct flights, so it's a four/five hour flight, with a two hour layover, and then another hour flight. And then reverse on the way back. I'm 5'11 and the older I get the more torturous economy becomes. 😩

It totally makes a difference. I've gotten some free upgrades back in the day when they used to do those due to flying so many miles. And on anything longer than a couple hour flight, it really does make a big difference.
