This. I don't care if people like those movies. Good for them, honestly. I just wish they'd stop assuming I've watched any of them, because I haven't and I never will as it's simply not my cup of tea and I should be allowed to not give a damn without some of the most rabid fans feeling personally attacked for it.

Yeah I’ve had a lot of really unpleasant encounters. I went from not caring to feeling highly amused when everyone started crying about how it went to shit. Like, ok so can you shut up about it now? Sadly, most cannot. They vomit every thought they’ve ever had about the MCU to disinterested parties and then throw a tantrum because their audience doesn’t care. It’s far from the worst fandom ever (HP, Star Wars, and NuTrek are way worse) but it is the only one I’ve encountered where all the fans assume the whole world is made up of fans.
