referring to fics as books

That's a wattpad thing, I'm told. ... For the generation that doesn't know what a website is and insists on having an app for everything, I think wattpad might have just been. their first exposure to fanfic........

It irrationally infuriates me that people refuse to use ao3 because there isn't an app. The site is very mobile friendly and there is no need for an app!

Yeah, that is such a weird thing to me. I use Ao3 on mobile sooo much.

At this point I basically only use it on my phone!

I like that it doesn't have an app! I hate how every site these days wants me to download one, when the browser is almost always more functional (and doesn't take up unnecessary space on my phone!).

Hard same. I hate that some services force you to use an app.

It's SO strange that some people are attached to apps because I'm the exact opposite. Websites or bust, if you want me to use an app I will just not use your service at all, lol.

But yeah, it seems most wattpad people are pretty young so I wouldn't be surprised if that really was their first contact regarding fic. Some of them show up later to talk about how wattpad was their training ground and they suddenly "evolved" into using ao3...
