It is so annoying when something that is easy goes wrong

Bought a new dishwasher after having a broken one for 3+ years. The dealer installed and left. I checked it and they didn't push it back far enough so I can't open my oven. Called them and the guy can't come back until next Friday. So I asked if I can get a partial refund for installation and just fix it myself. They said yes. So I did a test run (empty). The door immediately started leaking. Called them back and was like, "This is a brand new dishwasher, should not be leaking. Yall need to fix it." So now I have a dishwasher I can't use until next Friday. :/

That sounds infuriating! And sad. I'm sorry the dishwasher gods spat on you. :(

I almost started crying because I was so frustrated

AYRT - I almost replied that that's the type of situation that would make me cry in frustration and despair, and I'm not a crying type.

Ugh I’m sorry, nonnie :( I swear every dishwasher is made to leak these days. We went through the exact same thing and then my dad did, too. So frustrating! Once ours was fixed and we did the test run, we discovered there was a problem with (something electronicy/computery) and the drying cycle didn’t work. It was like two months before we had a dishwasher

Hoping that doesn't happen to me. I pushed it back so at least I can use my oven, lol.

mine doesn't leak but it stops before it's finished and I have to lean on it to get it to finish and my legs are really fucked from arthritis so it hurts to stand up for long periods of time.

I had this issue and the manual or online manual said it would actually leak for a few cycles (the door) until the heat drying "set the seal." It was true and I kept towels in front of it for two days and maybe four cycles and it was fine.

We had to reinstall it anyway because it wasn't leveled properly front to back, though. The installers at Lowes and Home Depot and places like that can kind of suck. They just would have sent out the same clueless dudes or other clueless dudes.
