Most online fiction functions more like a TV series than like a book no matter how much Wattpad wants to change the branding, so a more accurate question might be: do you really need %chaptercount episodes?

*looks at Supernatural* ... the same question could be asked of some actual TV series, so at least it's consistent, you know?
