Two things. 1. It is really interesting to me to learn about people that were sonisolated they uave gaps in their education or knowledge base that wouod fall into "common knowledge" category for me.

And 2. I have never read fic-turned-book that was of any quality. Usually it actually goes down in quality because you end up missing all of the character and world building thats assumed in fandom spaces.
