Seriously. To me, it'a usually when romance is the focus that it's almost unbearable, feels forced and just all around dull. Funny how people perceive things differently (or just do not watch the same media at all, lmao)

Yes, exactly. When the romance is the entire plot, it always feels like they have to find ways to keep on dragging it out instead of resolving it, because if they resolve it then the story is over.

A side romance can be resolved (as in, the characters get together) and the plot can keep right on going because the romance wasn't the plot.
