So, for example, I'm sort of doing the thing above, right? I'm saying, "we do this, as humans," which is an observation that may or may not hold true when broadly applied -- and yet it is an observation based on experience, just as "romance is done poorly" is an observation based on OP's experience. I think this means, perhaps, that we're all unreasonable, and we're all only ever grasping a small slice of the truth, if any piece of it at all. But that's going far afield.
