I unironically liked this movie and only figured out recently that people lump it in with the really bad live action adaptations.

I also enjoyed Netflix' live action Bleach movie.

A lot of people seem to think live action adapations are either good (the version that exists only in their head that's a perfect 1:1) or bad, but there's really a whole spectrum, I've found. I genuinely enjoyed the FMA one--they did nail a lot of what really matters. I've only seen two of the Japanese Death Note movies but I remember being really impressed there too.
