Er, I'd disagree with that. As far as non-trio students go, I'd say that Draco perhaps is more significant than her, but that she is as central or more so than Luna or Neville.

I dunno, I never really liked Snape (although I didn't think he was evil, none of this "poor woobie snape is misunderstood!!!" stuff...no, the man was a jerk-off), but I still hated James' treatment of him. You can hate someone based on his treatment of another person, even if you don't like the other person. Similarly, I hate Ginny because of how she hexed Zacharias Smith in HBP (for simply asking too many questions and annoying her), even though I fully think that Smith is a tool.
