Substitute "new Star Wars" for "literally anything".

Fucking word.

The reason why Star Trek Picard S3 is the best of new Trek is simply because at one point we went back on the ENT-D bridge and could see what was happening. It was daft what was happening, but at least it was lit competently so we could see it.

It's one reason why I love TOS so much. Everything's brightly lit. You can see expressions and everything! Apparently they forgot how to make light bulbs shortly after the animated series.

+1. Just as an additional comment, sometimes I'll want to make an edit of something, a few icons or whatever, and the amount of brightness I have to add to a screen capture so it's visible is just off the charts. WHY are movies and shows being shot like this??

Yep! Was just talking to someone about Game of Thrones yesterday and The Long Night. Whatever else anyone thinks about that last season, that episode was universally disappointing.
