Currently mid death by bloating and cramps. My period has decided on a new schedule of 2 weeks off followed by 12 days on with maybe a break in the middle. Kill me now.

Busy and didn't quite get as much done as I wanted to at work. Nevermind the stack of shit I dropped the ball on last month... *shudder* I just want a good opportunity to cleanly unfuck the mess they dropped on us, that I still don't know what to do with. On top of that, changes with folk we do business with are throwing more monkey wrenches into the mix. Please stop destabilizing what we thought was already good, people. Things are chaotic enough.

At least there's a four day workweek, followed by four days off. (I'm going to try really hard not to cancel my day off. I'm going to really really try.)

Okay. Should finally have the fasteners for my desk, am contemplating picture hanging and tomorrow an electrician will come in to do some work that will enhance the house.

On the other hand, Monday sucks for my spouse (a mail carrier) and will only get worse as the year progresses.

My kid had "quiet ear" which is generally code for "ear infection" so we went to quick care and they checked for covid and flu and they came back positive for flu...but no symptoms? And still none a couple days later? No flu for us and there was just a flu shot like three weeks ago?

But yes, ear infection.

Had a really great phone conversation w/ my best friend.
found out 5 seasons of a TV show I really like have been deleted from a streaming service and I can't find them elsewhere.
I'm a damn weirdo who doesn't like cell phones and I just heard they're going to kill landlines.

Okay day. Still have a headache, and my cat woke me up at 4AM by jumping on my stomach. But got some good work done, and now I'm home and plan on going to bed early.

Finally had the hole in my tooth fixed. Feeling achey, but glad that its finally done after the bad work the first dentist did the month before.
Trying to push through my writers block, but tempted to give up and watch game plays on youtube instead.

Fine. Just kind of eh. I recently started a new job as in a week ago recently & my supervisor was out today, so. Kind of bizarre.

And I just got back from seeing Street Fighter. The internet at large is right; it's bad.

Decent. Not bad, not good. Some ups, some downs.

Work was a little stressful but I learned a lot from my lead. Got to spend some time with my sister's kids before dropping them off to school. I love seeing them arrive to school with smiles on their faces. A lot of annoying traffic. But I booked my flight for a trip in May!!! I plan to book the hotel tomorrow.

okay so I'm recovering from surgery and have spent weeks at my grandfather's house with my dad and my parents' cat who was in persistent estrus and wound up having cysts on her ovaries that were removed when she finally got fixed. (she is six years old and an indoor/outdoor farm cat who has had many kittens. she also hunts for fun and has very sharp claws). I've been taking care of her while she recovers from her surgery too and she loves me.

The problem is I have my own cat who has been staying alone in my apartment with me stopping in every few days to check on her. but yesterday, my dad was like 'bring her over here'. my cat is my esa and she's 16 years old and was declawed but my evil ex-mother-in-law when she was little. I brought her.

now, my parents cat dislikes other cats and mine does too. I did not have the time to to the 'slow meet' thing on other sides of doors and such because the house isn't laid out like that and my cat was desperate to sleep on me again. (I've been sleeping on a chair in the living room because I can't lay down).

now they are refusing to be in the same room and parents' cat is upset that she can't sleep on me because the space is taken. she also keeps growling and hissing at my cat who has stopped doing it to her.

my point in all this is .. is there anything i can do to make them okay with each other? I'm supposed to be moving here soon so they're going to see a lot more of one another and I dream of being able to cuddle them both.
