lmao the 5:1 ratio thing comes from animal training. if you want to build a positive training relationship that's the target, because survival brain places more weight on negative interactions and if you're under that ratio the chances increase that the animal won't trust you

but also nobody should put fic on goodreads, that's fucking rude and it doesn't belong there

why do you need a public place for your ~honest opinions~, are you sure your reviews are so fucking valuable? literally just chat with your friends on a private discord or whatever

Notwithstanding the obvious point that fanfic does not belong on Goodreads in the first place, this sounds like the standard fandom attitude to feedback ATM. I can't even count the number of posts I've seen in the vein of "I, the author, am owed comments as payment for bestowing my fic upon you, the reader, and-- wait, no, not those comments-- here, let me give you a template for exactly what I want you to say, totally spontaneously, in your own words".

Godzilla not being in 90% of the movie isn't my issue, as I loved Godzilla Minus One, my issue is that 2014 cuts away from monster fights, not once: BUT THREE TIMES and the last fight is so chopped up it's not enough of a balm on those other skipped fights.

The atomic breath bit is cool 10/10, still doesn't make up for a monster movie barely showing monster fights.
