What fanon changes that everyone seems to accept do you absolutely love?

For instance, in My Hero Academia fandom a lot just accept that Mineta is gone or was never there (usually replaced by Hitoshi). As someone who hates Mineta, this pleases me.

when the DA:O fandom decided Alistair was bi instead of hetero, lol. Which was a win for me bc one of my OTPs was (is tbh??? still love it but there's a dearth of it) alistair/zevran. :3
this was ten centuries ago though... idk what people think about it these days since there was that whole kerfuffle of de-gay-ifying one of the romanceable options in one of the later Dragon Ages.

They de-gayified (or rather de-biified) several characters in Inquisition because of terrible time management and then tried to turn it into this whole "oh no, that's their sexuality, it was never planned differently" when tons of already recorded same-sex dialogue proved this false. Which wasn't a great look, really. But yeah, Alistair not being bi sucked. I never was active in the DA:O fandom but it makes me happy to hear fanon "fixed" this lol

that sounds like a shame! it's too bad Inquisition was never my bag. they should've kept it like 2 where everyone was bi. =') alistair was definitely destined for greatness (equal opportunity lover) LOL

It's a stupid one, but I loved that fandom made third Tony Stark bot named Butterfingers. Dum-E and U were the only canon ones.

I still prefer Sheriff Stilinski being named John instead of Noah.

Also, Castiel's name being Cas instead of Cass. I hate the Cass spelling.

agreed on all of these. they should have kept cassiel if they wanted to keep that odd shortened form.

Back in Teen Wolf fandom I liked the "everbody lives" where most of the fandom just went on pretending that Boyd and Erica, among others, were alive. And each time they killed a character fandom would continue on with most of canon but that character would be alive.
Also that the Sherrif's name was John XD

That Jaskier is secretly magic and thats why he didn't age, not because the show runners are just dumb and didn't think about it. I love all the various interpretations of it, but I also just love fandom collectively coming up for in canon reasons for show's goofs.
